Great hoop, good customer service that helped me find the anchor bolts (packed inside the pole of the hoop). Easy installation, just took time. I do wish the instructions specifically mentioned to check that the pole is parallel to the back of the court- but I can adjust that later. Kids were so excited to use the hoop after we finished that they went out to shoot around in the dark that first night.
Mostly high quality until you get to the cheap base cover. I don't know why they would build everything else like a tank, but then put a cheap piece of plastic with two halves that don't even line up with each other around the bottom. Some parts of the installation went really smooth, but joining the main post to the post bolted to the backboard was frustrating because the bushing holes have to be perfectly aligned. Part of me had to appreciate the design because it makes for a tight connection when it's all put together, but I think the method was frustrating for me because my driveway is sloped and therefore the backboard was at a different angle than the post when just sitting on the ground. The kids love it though.
We watched the video with the kid and paused it as we went so the kids could be part of putting it together. It took 20 minutes putting it all together. Only one screw was giving us a problem on alignment but it finally went in on the arm. The kids love it, ages 3 to 9 years.
I just assembled this hoop this morning. It was relatively easy, I took my time and followed step by step. The height stickers markings. Oils be better, but that would be my only complaint. The adjustable crank is easy enough my 10 year old son was able to adjust it. My kids and wife are loving it on Day 1. I see this hoop lasting a long time and I’m glad I have my kids something I always wanted. Thanks Dominator.
We love everything about the Dominator product line. We incorporate Dominator equipment on all of our projects, whether it's a private residence backyard court or a multi-facility commercial project. The feedback we receive from our customers time and time again, on both aesthetic and performance, is like nothing else out there. The installation process was engineered to be as seamless as it gets. We have been in the game and installed other products long enough to know that Dominator is by far, top tier and will continue to be our go-to supplier!
This goal is amazing. Packaging protected the goal during shipping. All parts were intact. Now for the quality. This thing looks like the exotic car of basketball goals. The goal only took me and my 16 year old son to put up in about an hour. The pole and back board frame are solid. The goal is unbelievably sturdy. The glass backboard is amazing and lowering and raising is so simple my seven year old daughter can do it by herself. I would recommend for anyone looking for a goal they plan on haven’t for a long time. Dominator for the win.
Solid backboard that doesn't wobble when you through the ball against it. Very realistic to a good indoor hoop experience. The back board is by far the heaviest part of the hoop. It also looks awesome.
Really happy with the Dominator Pro, the cost was higher then I planned but the actual hoop/backboard and everything else was well worth it. We are very happy with this purchase, solid product, looks amazing. . .
Installation, I needed help as it is very heavy (like any hoop this size and quality). The directions are very clear and guide you well around the installation.
The design and hoop seem to be great so far (one month up). The DIY instructions for the construction of the concrete base needs some work, however, as it is tough to sink the bolts and be plumb as shown in the Bilt video.
Feels like I am shooting in a gym. The rim is very forgiving and it we love the look.
-well built
-simple to assemble and to operate
-would recommend to all
Need a ball return or something similar to a fence that attaches to the post.
It's been roughly a year since I installed my goal and I couldn't stress on how satisfied I am with the QUALITY of this product. I have gone through multiple other brands and thousands of dollars of promises of durability with no success until i stumbled upon the ad for The Dominator. I live in south Louisiana where outdoor conditions are harsh, high humidity, high temperatures, above average storms and rain and lets not forget about hurricanes. This goal has not shown the first bit of wear, no rust, no fading, no mechanical issues. I would recommend this product to anyone. I will also add that it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Simple design, but classy and built to last!!!!
Last year I purchased and had shipped the 72” Hoop package from Dominator. It was easy to install while following the instruction's and we have enjoyed the hoop since day one. It’s built strong and is easy to adjust. We purchased the Dominator Solar light package with the double light mount and we were able to use the same mounting hardware for the 16’ pole. High quality products and they look fantastic! I would highly recommend these products.
I bought this maybe 6-7 months ago. I play at least every other day and it’s exactly what I expected. The goal is very sturdy and the metal resists dirt and debris. I have a six year old daughter and three boys live next door and the hoop can handle anything that they throw at it. Lower it for an hour of dunking by tween boys, no problem. Dad wants to shoot for an hour, deal. Heck, I’ve been rough with it to see how a man dunk affects the goal. No issues. Plus it came with a free shirt.
Exceeded all my expectations!
So far, we have enjoyed this new basketball hoop. It was easy to set up. It is easy to adjust and the kids seem to enjoy it very much. Thank you very much for a good quality product.
The hoop is amazing. I am happy that I went with the Gladiator hoop. I looked at other from Ducks sporting goods and Academy and they all looked like they will fall apart after a couple years. The gladiator will stay in great shape for several years. The one piece solid pole and the ease of lowering. And raising without changing the overhang of the backboard
Great instructions. . easy assembly. . very sturdy. . fast delivery. . . my family is very pleased
Fantastic rust proof (on humid east coast), high quality hoop for fun at all skill levels. Easily adjustable hoop, even a young child can change the height on their own.
I BOUGHT THIS SUMMER AND WAS THE EASIEST INSTALL IVE DONE FOR A HOOP. THIS HOOP LOOKS AMAZING IN OUR DRIVEWAY AND THE KIDS LOVE HOW EASY IT IS TO MOVE UP AND DOWN. THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAVE IS NOW OUR GARAGE FRIDGE IS ALWAYS EMPTY NOW, WITH ALL OF THE LOCAL KIDS COMING TO HOOP AT OUR HOUSE!!!
We absolutely love our Dominator Hoop! Everything came as described and as we expected.
This is a great goal. We couldn’t be happier!
We love our Dominator hoop. It is rock solid and shows no sign of weathering after it's first round of hot summer and cold winters. I love that it adds to the landscape instead of detracting from it. I strongly recommend!
Both products are amazing. Very happy with the quality and would highly recommend.
Slick design and a design that will stand the test of time. I received a lot of feedback on the design, the looks, stability and others. Installation was easier that most and its holding up great. Highly recommended.
The exceptional customer service I received from Manny Karlsson is the reason I went with this basketball hoop. Thank you Manny!
The setup was very easy, took me and my kids maybe less then an hour to setup. It could've probably taken 20 minutes with power tools. Other then that kids love the goal .
Purchased the 72” Dominator Hopp for our back yard to compliment and diversify our pickleball court and couldn’t be happier. After poring the footing my wife and I were able to install it ourselves. Raising and lowering the hoop is a breeze with the radial adjustment mechanism. With only 3 pieces it looks and performs exceptionally well. Not the cheapest option in the market but it’s worth every penny we paid.
The hoop seems to be working okay, but I’m very disappointed at how badly Dominator botched the installation guides. The QR code on the crate guides me to the app “BILT”, which has outdated instructions, likely from a previous model. The written instructions are also not great, with some outdated steps, and one potentially very dangerous error, which is when it directs you to remove the safety bolt before securing the hand crank. This is very dangerous, and almost caused me to fall as I was installing the rim, as the pole suddenly started to raise up. We had to have somebody hang on the pole arm while someone else installed the crank handle. Also, the wording is somewhat nebulous in the written instructions, often using the term “hand tighten only”. You should clarify this with terms such as “tighten with fingers only” or “tighten firmly with wrench”. Even in the YouTube video the installer uses the term “hand tighten” when not using a tool. Ultimately, the best guide I found (after I already finished installation) was from a YouTube video for the 72” model from Feb 23, 2024. A link to this video should have been emailed to me and the QR code should be to this video, NOT to the BILT app.
Our family purchased a Dominator Hoop a couple months before but it hadn't shown up because of being on backorder. Once the hoops started coming in, we still didn't receive it. Turns out, from some of our check-in calls about using an anchor kit while we do our cement work, etc. we mislabeled ourselves as doing a local pickup instead of shipping. Oops.
We called, disappointed, but the team was aggressive in making sure we felt heard and valued as customers. Specifically, Thomas worked out a deal to refund us the shipping, send us our hoops ASAP, and even make sure we were set up to start having the kids play right away as soon as it arrived. What started out as a poor experience, turned into one of the best ones we've had when it comes to dealing with 3rd party vendors for our new home.
Dominator is known as being the king for in-ground hoops, but should be known as a leader in customer service too!
When will be shipped??
I can’t review it until then.

Was going to get a megaslam, but last minute I pulled the trigger on the Dom. Great hoop, looks good and glad I have It.
In my opinion, the Dominator hoop is the best on the market. Once you have your cement foundation ready to go, the actually install is incredibly easy. The quality of the hoop is excellent! We are thrilled!
Built solid, looks amazing, and comes with great customer service! This hoop is the real deal for sure!
Couldn’t be happier with this product. High quality, efficient delivery, and looks amazing. Strong and high quality hoop. Easy to adjust height for the kiddos. Would purchase again if I had to.
Every thing I expected. Easy installation.
Prior to buying the 72inch Dominator hoop I did tons of research and decided to go with the dominator brand. What led to my decision was the many reviews that described the easy install but more importantly the quality of the hoop system itself. Since installing a few weeks ago, I can say that it has lived up to the hype! 2-man install job, but self explanatory steps. My hoop is installed in my half court that is my backyard and I could not be any more happier with the system. Would recommend 10 out of 10 times.
My 12 year old loves our Dominator hoop! Love that it’s so easy to change the height. Looks great by the driveway too.
I love this goal. It is sturdy and built well. I bought this over other well known brands because of the quality and the way it lowers and raises without changing the overhang. I feel like it’s the best looking goal by far. We love it. The backboard has a nice gym level response to it. Everyone loves playing on my goal.
Can’t say enough about the way this arrived and went together. It’s the best experience I’ve had. From packaging, to quality of build, to assembly. This is top notch! Just purchased the pickleball net do to the experience. Thanks, Dominator!
Love how both the pickleball and hoop turned out. Took our new court to a new level!
This is quality. It is very easy to install and far better than other brands. Warranty is like no other company, but I don't think you will need it. Very ease to extend and retract.
Love this hoop. Easy setup and easy adjustment. Built to last.
The Dominator is awesome!!!! Looks so much better than the others on the market.
Worth the money. Works great. Great customer service.
Easy installation - excellent design!
Ok if I'm going to be honest I's give the goal a 5 and instructions a 0. There were no paper instructions in either of the 2 boxes that were delivered. I had to go check out Youtube videos to figure out how to put it together. I am someone who has built houses so I know how to put things together but it would of been much more helpful to have in hand instructions that actually give you pictures on how to install. Mostly for the base with the bolts and plate. Other then that we love it it's a great basketball goal. Very good quality!!
My 13 year old son and I assembled the hoop in about 1.5 hours. We paid for a full half court slab so the contractors also dug for the post, which would have been the hardest part of the job. Other than that, believe all the other reviews as this was soooo simple to assemble. I’m not a handy person whatsoever but was able to figure this one out without a hitch. The BILT app makes assembly that much easier. Highly recommend.
Oh, and the hoop itself is amazing. Zero play when banking shots. Easily the best looking in ground hoop around.
My 1 star review doesn’t actually show up and if it does I apologize
Will happily recommend. Once the brackets were in place in the concrete the install was fairly simple. I installed it mostly myself with my 12 yr old son helping me put the final nuts on the bolts while I held up the hoop. Looks fantastic and the kids have had a blast playing already. Very durable and professional looking piece of equipment. Won't be disappointed in purchasing.
I would like to know the dimensions of the packaging
What are the dimensions of the packaging
We have purchase 4 basketball goals over the past 7 years and they all have had major issues like rusting, backboard breaking, raising and lower becoming very difficult within first year of purchasing etc. We finally said lets find something that looks good with a lot less moving parts but still allows you to raise and lower the goal. After a ton of research we decided the Dominator would be our best option. We chose the the 72 aluminum mesh backboard and it has done nothing but impress us and our friends who come over to play.
we love it!!
I’ve been shopping around for some time for a hoop for me and my kids. Once I saw the dominator I knew that it was the one. After ogling the hoop for a year, I finally pulled the trigger on it. I love it! Easiest assembly by far! Growing up in the early 90’s, me and my two brothers who are very close in age went through hoop after hoop. I wish this one was around back then. Better late than never! Top notch! The mesh metal 72 inch backboard is a sight to behold.

P.S. I could not upload a video or picture.
A fantastic product. Super build quality and relatively easy installation. It took me about three hours to assemble and level the goal. Everyone here loves it!
The rim is crooked, and I will need some help getting that adjusted or fixed. Otherwise it is a very good hoop system.
I've installed a goal from a certain national chain, and spent some time researching. For not much more (less than some) this is much much better! The install was only work up until concrete set. It was hard to mix and place quick enough to get the j bolts in by myself. Get help or a mixer. Also hard waiting to bolt up, but the rest of install was really easy. Very thoughtful design. Appearance and play more like commercial hoops, not residential. Very impressed and family loves it. Easy spring assisted up and down. Great design, looks to last.
My kids absolutely love it all the neighborhood kids are playing some great games in my backyard!!
We love this hoop. Super easy to install. (Digging the hole and concrete was the hard part) Everything else was a breeze and it looks great. This feels and plays like something at the gym. Customer service was the best I have experienced. Spend the money on the Dominator. It’s worth it!!!
Best all around bang for the buck! Strong, looks professional, Functions, and take it with ya if you ever move
The quality, durability, and esthetic of the hoop is unmatched. A very well thought through product. The adjustment mechanism alone is incredible and beats anything else in the market. It’s extremely easy and smooth, so much so that small children can raise and lower the hoop with ease.
Quality hoop and simple to assemble.
Great customer service.
This hoop setup is awesome. Well made. It's so easy to crank it up or down. My six year old can do it. All aluminum wont rust. This is the one.
I just recently installed this hoop at my house. This is the best quality hoop on the market and the design allows for easy installation. The post has a hinge on the base that allows you to partially anchor it and tilt it over to connect the backboard at ground level. The adjustable wheel is so much easier than other designs. It looks awesome, sleek and simple and the materials are all top quality. I also highly recommend this company as their customer service was outstanding when I had a tight schedule and last minute decision. I had already purchased another hoop and drove that back to return it when I found the Dominator. Very satisfied.
Great quality and easy to install. We couldn't be happier.
We’ve burned through several in ground hoops over the years. Domanator 72 inch aluminum backboard is the best quality I’ve ever seen, the easiest to crank up and down, the sturdiest, the lightest, and by far the easiest to install. Awesome design.
Shipping and delivery was very quick. Installation was a total breeze! Seriously, so so so easy. The hoop and pickleball set up are incredibly high quality. I deliberated for a long time before ultimately deciding on a Dominator hoop. I am really, really happy with it!
Shipping the hoop across the country and not really any issues with it. They have had great communication and the hoop was so easy to piece together! The family and neighbors have had a blast on it already!!
Just had our dominator hoop installed, Wowzers! I’ve had a place to play basketball since I was 3, I’m 66, outdoors, indoors, in barns, half court, full court, had my own indoor private gym. Many goals, several adjustable types. NOTHING is as easy to adjust heights! Solid, lightweight, easy setup. You will not be disappointed!
Smooth transaction. The hoop receives a lot of compliments. Fast shipping.
Easy setup and amazing quality!
Great Hoop!
Love the goal was really easy to put up. Best looking goal on the market
HomeSports was so good to answer all of our questions and quickly. It was our first time choosing a hoop. It was installed in a driveway, so we decided on the 60 inch (instead of the 72 inch) and it’s huge! The younger kids love how low the hoop goes, it makes basketball fun for them. This hoop is so sturdy and I know we’ll be making memories for years to come.
I spent a lot of time researching hoop options. When it comes to models around $1,500 on up the Dominator options are superior and worth the investment. The design is solid, the crank handle is simple to use, aluminum doesn’t rust like the powder coated steel parts of other brands, the rim is a high quality break-away model, and the hoop just looks great when fully installed.
The part that sealed the deal was the genius engineering of the base that enables the main post to rotate down to the ground where the backboard is then attached. This eliminates the safety hazard of having to hoist a really heavy backboard 10 feet in the air to attach it to the post like most models.
Dominator hoops are a great investment if you like to play basketball on a high quality hoop.
Super easy to adjust even for young kids! Our backyard dreams are coming true with the help of this basketball hoop/ pickleball net combo!
Dominator is the best company I’ve dealt with so far!!!
Outstanding quality hoop. We are professional landscape designers and spec these hoops on all our projects. I have one at my residence as well. Love it!
We installed one of the hoop products from this company and it is working great! It has been there for over two years and still looks brand new.
This is an amazing hoop. Very well built, very sturdy, and super easy to raise and lower. It is worth every penny. You definitely won't be disappointed ordering this hoop
Best hoop in the market. Period.
I recently purchased The dominator basketball stand with a 72 inch glass backboard. I want to write that I am completely thrilled with the quality of this item and the ease in which you can operate it. The handle to raise the hoop up and down it’s so easy that a seven-year-old can do it by their self.
When you shoot baskets the hoop does not wiggle and make noise like my past one did The welding and workmanship of the unit are amazing! I especially appreciate the padding for the base post, this makes me feel confident that no one will be hurt if they fall close to the hoop.
This brand was recommended to me by two of my adult sons. One of them has one in his yard and the other one knew about the quality. I am so grateful that I followed their advice and bought this for my yard for my grandchildren. Thank you for making such an outstanding product!
