Dominator Basketball Hoop Installation: A Handy Guide

Dreaming of slam dunks and buzzer beaters in your own backyard? Bring those hoop dreams to life with the Dominator basketball hoop. Glide through our guide for quick and easy basketball hoop installation.

Step 1: Start Digging

Before getting started, call 811 and ensure you’re not about to disrupt any underground utilities. Once you’ve got the green light, it’s time to dig. And for that, your best tool is a post hole digger. Ideally, you’ll want a hole 36 inches deep and 24 inches wide, keeping its edge no more than 6 inches from your playing surface.

Step 2: Setting the Base

Ensure a sturdy and erosion-resistant foundation by laying a six-inch layer of gravel or crushed stone in the hole, compacting and leveling it meticulously with a 2-by-4 to guarantee proper drainage and stability.

Next, carefully pour your concrete and embed the Dominator Hoop’s base hardware, following the instructions.

Bring the shootout spot to your backyard! Find a professional installer to put in your Dominator Basketball Hoop!

Step 3: Assemble Like a Pro

Your Dominator hoop package, delivered neatly in a crate, includes:

  • A main pole (with a telescoping pole attached)
  • An extension arm
  • A rim
  • A backboard
  • An anchor plate

Start by aligning the base plate of the pole with the anchor plate and fasten the nuts on the front of the anchor plate. Next, mount the arm to the base pole. Then attach the backboard, and stand up the unit. Hoisting the pole is effortless, thanks to a nifty hinge on the base plate. Fasten the back nuts on the base plate, attach the rim, and you’re all set to shoot some hoops!

The Dominator’s high-quality aluminum construction ensures it will last many years. It’s rust-resistant and lighter than the typical iron or steel used in other in-ground basketball hoop installations. Plus, it looks absolutely stunning.

When your goal is a basketball installation that allows you to shoot hoops at home anytime, get the Dominator Basketball Hoop! Order yours today!
